Book Victoria Taylor

Trauma-Informed Speaker | UK and International

Your best people are carrying more than your wellbeing programme was built to hold.

Victoria Taylor speaks about survival, recovery and what it actually takes to rebuild a life after trauma. Not in the abstract. Not from a clinical distance. From the inside of the experience, with the specific authority of a woman who has lived every word she delivers.

The result is not a motivational keynote. It is something closer to a reckoning. The kind of talk that changes the way a room sees the women sitting inside it.

“I have sat through a lot of wellbeing sessions. I have never seen a room go that quiet. Not because it was uncomfortable — because every woman in it felt completely seen. That does not happen. Victoria made it happen.”

— Wellbeing Lead, Financial Services Organisation

“We had women coming to HR the following week asking how to access more support. We had never seen that before. Whatever Victoria said in that room unlocked something. The feedback scores were the highest we have ever recorded for any external session.”

— HR Director, Professional Services Firm

This is not what most rooms feel like.
That is the point.

Event organisers who have hosted Victoria describe a particular quality of attention in the room. Not tension. Not discomfort. Something closer to recognition. Here is what typically happens.

In the first ten minutes

The room settles in a way that surprises people. Victoria does not open with an icebreaker or a statistic. She names something. And the women in the room recognise it before she has finished the sentence. That recognition — the physical sense of being seen — is where the work begins.

During the session

The room is quiet in the way that happens when people are genuinely listening rather than waiting to speak. Victoria moves between personal testimony, the framework and the audience's experience without losing the thread. People write things down. Some cry. Most do not. All of them engage in a way that does not happen in a standard wellbeing session.

After Victoria leaves

This is the part that surprises organisations the most. Conversations start that have not started before. Women approach HR. Colleagues speak to each other differently. Managers report noticing things they had never had language for. The session ends. The shift does not.

What it is not

It is not therapy. It is not triggering in the way people fear. It does not leave the room in a state that the organisation has to manage. Victoria holds the content, the welfare and the landing with the same professional rigour she brings to every credential she holds. Your team is in capable hands.

What your audience leaves with.
Not what they sit through.

Each talk is tailored to the specific room. These are the core programmes. Every one is available as a keynote, a half day workshop or a full day engagement.

Programme One

The Tunnel: Why Survival Becomes Identity

How lived experience shapes belief, behaviour, and self-perception long after the situation has ended.

Your audience leaves with

Language for why the highest functioning women in your organisation can be quietly carrying the most. A framework for understanding why wellbeing initiatives have not reached them. The beginning of a different conversation.

Programme Two

Life After Survival: Why Leaving Is Not Enough

The gap between getting out and knowing how to live — and why so many women find themselves lost in that space.

Your audience leaves with

Understanding of why women who have left difficult situations, relationships or environments still struggle — and what that costs them and the organisations they work inside. Managers leave able to recognise the signs. Women leave with permission to name what has not yet resolved.

Programme Three

The Voice That Was Installed

Understanding the internal voice shaped by early experience and how it continues to drive decisions, relationships, and identity.

Your audience leaves with

The specific understanding of where self-limiting beliefs originate and how they operate below the level of awareness. Practical language for beginning to separate what was installed from what is actually true. A different relationship with the internal narrative that has been running the show.

Programme Four

Building After Survival: From Understanding to Action

What it actually takes to move from insight into a life that is fully and unapologetically your own.

Your audience leaves with

The specific difference between understanding what happened and building something new from it. A clear sense of what the next step looks like and why it is available to them now. The experience of hearing someone who has walked this describe what actually changes — and how.

Every programme is tailored to your room. Format, length and content are confirmed in a pre-engagement conversation.

For the Buyer

What You Are Actually Dealing With

If you are in HR, L&D, DEI or events, you know the problem. Your standard wellbeing offer gets polite attendance and no real shift. Your highest performers show up, hold it together, and carry things you have no language or budget line for.

You know some of your people are quietly struggling. You do not have the language to name what it is. And the tools you have access to were not built for it.

You are nervous about booking a trauma-related speaker. You are worried about tone, about safety, about what happens in the room when something lands harder than expected.

And you need to justify the spend to leadership with something more credible than the audience enjoyed it.

Victoria's work is accredited, structured and safe. Every engagement includes a content notice, a clear welfare framework and tailored delivery for your specific room. The session is handled. What it leaves behind is not.

Accreditation

CPD Accredited Trauma Specialist. APT Accredited Trauma-Informed Practitioner. NLP Practitioner. Diploma in Safeguarding Adults and Children Levels 1 to 4.

Safety Infrastructure

Content notice as standard. Welfare lead briefing available. Post-session support resources provided. Every room handled with the same care as the content.

Lived Authority

Victoria speaks from inside the experience. Not above it. Not around it. The credibility in the room is not academic. It is specific, named and real.

Measurable Impact

Organisations report colleagues beginning conversations they had never had before. Managers seeing things they had not known how to name. The shift is visible. It is also reported back.

Outcomes

What Audiences Leave With

What your audience leaves with is not a list of actions. It is something harder to define and more lasting.

  • Language for what the women in your organisation have been carrying silently for years
  • A different understanding of why survival persists long after the situation has ended
  • Clarity on why asking women to move on without the right framework does not work
  • A grounded, honest account of what real change actually requires

Before You Enquire

The questions every buyer asks.
Answered honestly.

If something you need to know is not here, ask it in the enquiry form. There are no wrong questions at this stage.

Is this too heavy for a corporate audience?

This is the most common question Victoria receives before a booking. The answer is that the talk is not heavy in the way people fear. It is honest. There is a difference. Victoria's delivery is controlled, credentialed and professionally structured. The content notice is given. The room is held. What happens inside it is that people finally have language for something they have been carrying without words. That is not heavy. That is relief.

What formats are available and how long is a typical engagement?

Victoria delivers as a keynote speaker, a half day workshop facilitator and a full day workshop lead. Keynotes typically run 45 to 60 minutes including audience questions. Half day workshops run three to three and a half hours. Full day workshops run five to six hours with structured breaks. All formats include a pre-engagement conversation and post-session support resources. Panel appearances and podcast recordings are also available.

How many people can attend and does it work for mixed groups?

Keynotes are suitable for any audience size. Workshops work best with groups of 12 to 40 for maximum engagement. The content is developed specifically for women and works best in women-only or women-majority spaces. Victoria can speak to mixed gender audiences and will advise on the right format for your room at the pre-engagement stage. She does not deliver a one-size-fits-all keynote to any group.

What if someone in the room has a strong reaction?

Victoria operates with full safeguarding awareness and is a qualified Diploma holder in Safeguarding Adults and Children Levels 1 to 4. Every engagement includes a pre-session briefing on welfare provision and clear guidance for the hosting organisation on how to support their team before, during and after the session. You will not be left to manage this alone.

What does it cost and how do we get a quote?

Speaking fees are confirmed at enquiry stage and vary by organisation size, format, location and duration. Fees are discussed personally with Victoria before anything is proposed. International bookings are accommodated. Use the enquiry form below or email directly to receive a fee proposal specific to your event. Responses are sent within three to five working days.

How do I justify this spend to leadership?

The Speaker Pack contains full credential documentation, topic outlines and the organisational case for trauma-informed engagement. Download it below. Organisations that have hosted Victoria report measurable shifts in team communication, increased use of internal support resources and feedback scores significantly above their standard wellbeing programme average.

Can the talk be tailored to our audience?

Yes. Every engagement begins with a conversation about the room, the audience and the outcome the organisation needs. Victoria does not deliver a fixed keynote. She delivers the right version of the work for the specific people sitting in front of her. The four core programmes are starting points, not scripts.
